Career

Hema Malini began her career as a dancer in a provincial film in 1961. C.V. Sridhar, a well-known Tamil cinema director, turned her down on her first try to land a job. She eventually made her acting debut in the Tamil film “Ithu Sathiyam,” in which she had a supporting part.
