Juhi Chawla was born in Ambala, Haryana, India, on November 13, 1967. She is an actress, producer, model, TV host, and voice artist from India. She is most known for her work in Hindi films, but she has also appeared in Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Bengali, and Tamil films. Her on-screen partnership with Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan is her most well-known role.

Career

Juhi Chawla won the Miss India Beauty Pageant in 1984, and she went on to seek a career as an actress. She was a popular Bollywood actress from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. In 1986, she made her debut cinematic appearance as Zarina in the film ‘Sultanat.’ In 1988, she shot to fame with the film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.’ She was paired with Aamir Khan in the film. At the box office, the picture was hailed as a huge hit. Chawla has dabbled with television presenting and film production in addition to performing. She and Shahrukh Khan are co-owners of the KKR IPL squad.

For her dedicated efforts and engagement in raising awareness about the health risks posed by mobile tower antennae radiation, she received the Indira Gandhi Memorial Award in Social Awareness.

Family

Dr. S. Chawla and Mona Chawla were her parents. Bobby Chawla, her brother, had been in a coma since 2010 and died on March 9, 2014. She also had a sister, Sonia Chawla, who died of cancer on October 30, 2012. In December 1995, she married billionaire industrialist Jai Mehta. Arjun Mehta is the couple’s son, while Jhanvi Mehta is the couple’s daughter.
